Description
The heating transition represents a key energy policy challenge over the next few years and decades. With the heat energy registry, the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Transport is providing stakeholders in Saarland (and businesses and LGAs in particular) with a comprehensive set of data that facilitates initial approaches to the visualisation of the energy-efficient redesign of heat supply systems.
The ‘Heat energy registry’ portal application shows district-related heat requirements (for today, 2025 and 2035) for residential and non-residential buildings, plus heat sources from industry and selected power generation plants in Saarland. Descriptions are also provided for around 80 promising project models (hotspots) for local, district and industrial waste heat usage.
